Listen:
The Link's Marc Montgomery speaks with Gerald Keddy, Canada's Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade, about a new agreement with China that will bring some relief to Canada's sealers. As of Thursday, Canada will be the only country allowed to export seal meat and oil to China. The agreement follows a year of negotiations and Canadian officials and sealers hope it will diminish losses linked to a European Union ban on the importation of seal products. We follow-up that chat with reaction from Sheryl Fink, the director of the seal program for The International Fund for Animal Welfare.
